1UP Cosplay Village
The amazing 1UP Cosplay Village makes a return. This year, the medieval setting even matches our princess in distress theme of the expo and we'll have a never before seen catwalk-concept that will blow your mind!
Here are some of the things we'll have in store for you:
Costume Contest - Saturday 22 February - 13:30
Our partner Becosplay will host a Costume Contest at the 1UP Gaming Expo!
Things you should know: The Costumes will be prejudged and 100% of the scoring will happen on the costume itself. You get to walk on the awesome 1UP themed catwalk/stage and show off your threads. The host may talk to you or ask a few short questions, but it's not required to come up with a matching choreography.
Catwalk Contest - Sunday 23 February - 13:00
Strut your stuff (but mostly you cosplay) on our cooler-than-you-can imagine catwalk and you can even win an Xbox One S All-Digital console or cosplay gear.
No preregistration required, just show up to the expo on sunday morning and enroll in our cosplay village.
Famous Cosplayers
We'll have three well-known cosplayers gracing us with their presence. Who, you ask?
Captain Ghostly is a Belgian Cosplayer who has taken his craft to the international stage and now creates and performs fulltime.
Narga and Aoki , a married couple, are cosplayers from Saint Petersburg, Russia. They've been cosplaying together since 2008 and have made well over 50 different costumes since.
They will help out as jury members for both contests mentioned above.
Cosplay Workshop - Both Days
Cosplay Armor: From Reference to Wearable Costume
In this workshop you will be able to learn a lot about making armors. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or experienced foamsmith, this workshop is full of useful tips and tricks. Each visitor will even be able to craft something to take home for free! Materials are provided by www.cosplayshop.be
Living Paintings
Ever wanted to capture your cosplay in a fabulous sci-fi or fantasy setting? Thanks to this amazing technology, you can! Simply pose in front of our green-screen and behold: your resemblance will be captured for all eternity in our 1UP Living Painting. (we'll even send you the video afterwards to share on your socials!)
